If you want to get your requirements done quickly, I’m the person to do it!  It can be done in as little as 7 days if necessary without compromising quality! Please select the “fast track” option.

Drive 2 hours per day. 6 total driving hours are required.

Utah State Certified and Drivers License Division (DLD) approved.

I have over 30 years of experience teaching drivers education at Alta, Jordan, and Cottonwood High Schools and I’m now starting my 10th year as a private teacher and love it!

Pick up and drop off available – depending on location.

The price for the required 6 hours of road driving is *$350. 

The home-study packet is *$100.

Fast tracking is available for *$100 and enables you to complete your driving in 14 days (from first drive). Most students who do not enroll in the fast track finish this course in about one month.

If you simply need the Road Exam, it is $55 on Weekdays and $60 on Saturday. Same day testing is $65. We cannot test our own students but are happy to refer you to others. We prefer Venmo.

Venmo (Dave or Lisa McConnell @davesdriversed) or cash. NSF will have a $50 fee.  No credit cards. If you use Venmo and use the purchase protection option that charges us a fee, you will be responsible for the fee. The amount is not negotiable.

“Range driving” (parking lot driving) isn’t required because we drive you twice as long on the road as the High School programs. We take you on the freeway and give you a practice road test as part of my service.

My driving schedule is very flexible, and I will work the driving hours around your schedule including Saturdays.  I will drive as early as 6:00 a.m. and as late as 8:00 p.m. 

The advantage of the home-study packet is that it can be completed quickly, and many of our students work on it while a friend is driving. Questions can be answered to ensure understanding. Our instructors are passionate about defensive driving and your safety. We want you to be knowledgeable and confident behind the wheel. 

Private driving lessons for individuals that are not in high school are $100 per hour.  If you are about to take a road exam, we offer a review examination. Your chances of passing the first time significantly increase after having a review examination. 

Yes, we have patience, and a brake on my side of the car and lots of insurance!

As of January 1, 2016, all new drivers will need to go to the website: DLD.utah.gov, click on Traffic Safety and Trends to take a final online quiz of 40 questions and receive a perfect score to get your license.  This quiz is open book, and you can take it as many times as necessary.  They will give you the correct answers if you miss any. 

We accept cash, checks, and Venmo. NSF have a $50 fee.
